Symbolic of containers transiting world markets, storage bins are manipulated by visitors like an interactive puzzle. Audio-visual projections of migrations are triggered using pattern recognition processes.

In the responsive audio-visual installation, At Play, spectators are invited to build the landscape of the installation by playfully stacking plastic bins, like pieces of an interactive puzzle, into sculptural compositions. In addition to being architectural components reminding shipping containers carrying goods to world markets, the bins are also resonance chambers, sources of light and projection surfaces. At Play unfolds at the conjunction between the world we will leave to our children and their capacity to reinvent it.
The experience of At Play calls upon spontaneity and imagination. The dynamic video mapping projections react to interventions by the public, generating a particular visual and sonic atmosphere from each sculptural composition: a moving scenography, recalling geopolitical realities conveyed by of barbed wire, migrants in transit, and refugee camps…This 3D imagery and the sound, sourced from the immediate environment of the installation, undergo a series of transformations in real time that imbues the grey storage bins with a mysterious expressive power. The
visitors are embedded in fictional worlds, in which they become central actors.
